About the Position
The Infection Preventionist will be part of a team of professionals reporting to the Director of Quality. This individual will be involved with monitoring and implementing the hospital’s Infection Prevention program, with the goal of improving the quality of patient outcomes and safety. They will conduct infection surveillance, education, data analysis, NHSN (as well as state and local) reporting, and recommend action plans for improving and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- RN, Registered Nurse
- Two years of Infection Prevention experience in an acute care setting
- CIC, Certification Infection Control strongly preferred, but required within three years of employment
