500 Bed Level II Trauma, Acute Care Facility

Bachelor's Degree Required, CHPC Preferred

About the Position: 

Reporting to the VP of Professional and Quality Services, the Director of Compliance and Privacy is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of the Integrity & Compliance, Privacy Program, an ethics and compliance program for the Western Iowa Region and its owned organizations. As a working Director with no personnel management, this position ensures the Program meets recognized standards for effective health care compliance programs as established by regulatory authorities. A strong candidate will have knowledge of compliance and privacy in a healthcare/hospital setting, and be able to develop good relationships with staff and providers. Certification in Compliance and Privacy is required within one year of hire.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required
Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance required within 1 year
5 or more years of experience in health care Compliance/Privacy are required in a hospital and clinic setting
Leadership experience in Compliance/Privacy is preferred
Must have the ability to work effectively in a large, geographically diverse system
Strong working knowledge and understanding of the health care industry regulatory environment
