400 bed tertiary hospital, part of an 8 hospital system

CPHQ preferred, RN or Bachelors Degree in related field required

About the Position:

The successful candidate has full responsibility for Quality and Performance Improvement across the hospital organization. Responsible for comprehensive performance measurement and improvement activities that include publicly reported measures, facility-wide quality reviews, patient safety activities, Infection Control, Risk, and Regulatory Compliance with federal, state, and The Joint Commission standards. This position will lead a team of 15 FTE’s over four departments. The mission of this position is to work collaboratively and inclusively with other team members to achieve system objectives.

Required Qualifications:

RN or Bachelors in a health or science related field
CPHQ preferred
Minimum of five years management experience
Extensive knowledge of JCAHO and ISBOH

About the Hospital:

The 400 bed hospital and level II adult and pediatric trauma center has been serving the local community for over 100 years. A certified comprehensive stroke center, cancer program, breast center, bariatric surgery center, and heart transplant program are just a few of the highlights of this high level medical center.

About the Location:

As its name may have suggested, Fort Wayne was built in 1794 by the US military, under Revolutionary War general Anthony Wayne. Since then, the former Fort has turned into the 2nd largest city in Indiana. Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is lauded as one of the most impressive zoos in the United States, Fort Wayne is also home to a huge Botanical Conservatory, and multiple minor league sports teams.
